Ingredients (11)
-
store-bought pizza dough 1 8-ounce ball
-
olive oil 2 tablespoons
-
yellow onion, diced ½
-
ground beef ½ pound
-
ranch seasoning mix 2 teaspoons
-
kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste
-
ketchup 2 tablespoons
-
shredded cheddar cheese 1 ½ cups
-
sliced dill pickle chips, drained ½ cup
-
mustard, ketchup and extra Ranch Pickle dressing, for serving
Steps (5)
-
1
Preheat the oven to 450°F. Warm a pizza stone in the oven as it heats.
-
2
In a large skillet set over medium heat, warm the olive oil; then add the onion and sauté,stirring occasionally, until just beginning to soften, 2–3 minutes. Add the ground beef and ranch seasoning mix and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until browned. Season with a little extra salt and pepper if needed and drain excess fat.
-
3
Stretch and pull the dough ball into a 12-inch round and place on a pizza peel or the back of a baking sheet that has been coated in flour or cornmeal to prevent sticking. Combine the pickle ranch dressing and ketchup in a small dish, then spread the mixture over the pizza crust, leaving the outer edge uncovered for a crust (about 1 inch around).
-
4
Spread the ground beef over the sauce, and sprinkle cheese over the top of the beef. Place the pickle chips evenly on top of the cheese.
-
5
Slide into the oven onto the stone and bake for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and crust is golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing and serving with desired condiments.
