How to Make anItalian Beef Sandwich
One look at this Italian beef sandwich recipe, and that’s amore. Sure, it might come from Mississippi, but it ends up straight outta Italy with provolone and pepperoncini. We’ve reached peak sammie perfection.

Leftover Mississippi Roast, Shredded and Reheated

Preheat the broiler. Heat the oil in a large skillet set over medium heat. Add the onions and peppers and sauté until softened, about 6-8 minutes; then season to taste with salt and pepper.

Divide the leftover roast beef between the four rolls. Top with the pepper and onion mixture; then drape a slice of cheese over the top.

Arrange the sandwiches on a sheet tray cheese side up and place under the broiler for 2–3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
