Mississippi Smothered PorkChops
Let the slow cooker do all the work in this incredible smothered pork chop recipe. Take a few minutes in the morning to prep and by dinnertime you’ll have these mildly spicy, totally ranchy, completely addictive chops on the table.


Ingredients(9)

large center-cut, bone-in pork chops
- 1 tbsp
olive oil
- 1 packet
- 1 packet
pork gravy mix
black pepper, to taste
- 6 tbsp
sliced unsalted butter
- 6–8
pepperoncini
- ¼ cup
pepperoncini juice from the bottle
- ½ cup
chicken or beef broth

Heat the oil in a large skillet set over high heat. Add the pork chops and cook for about 3 minutes on eachside, until browned. Transfer to the bowl of a slow cooker.

Sprinkle ranch seasoning packet, gravy packet and pepper over the chops. Top with sliced butter and pepperoncini and pour pepperoncini juice and broth over the top.

Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours. You do not want the internal temperature to go over 145°F, so check periodically.

Serve chops hot with gravy and pepperoncini spooned over the top.
